Bitcoin and other currencies sold sharply on Monday after China banned individuals and organizations from raising funds through initial currency offers, saying the practice was illegal fund-raising.
The People's Bank of China (PBOC) said in a previous statement that it had concluded investigations in country offices and would punish severe penalties in the future while punishing legal violations for violations already committed.
Individuals and organizations that have completed ECO fund-raising operations should make money-back arrangements and issue the strongest regulatory challenges so far to the burgeoning digital sales market, said the People's Bank of China (PBOC).
He also said that digital symbol financing and trading platforms are prohibited from currency exchange in Fiat currencies.
The popularity of currency offers in China has increased this year. Country offices have become a bonus for digital entrepreneurs, allowing them to collect large sums quickly by creating and selling digital "codes" with little or no regulatory oversight.
The price of the homeowner fell to $ 4,345.70 by 6:00 am GMT (1000GMT), down $ 249.30, or about 5.5%, after hitting a low of $ 4,253.00. The digital currency rose to an all-time high of $ 4,911.80 over the weekend.
Etherium, the nearest competitor to the market in terms of market cap, sank 11%, or $ 38.52, to $ 312.69. And briefly rose to a record high of $ 394.78 on Saturday.
Some other hidden currencies such as Litswan, Rebel and Dash also traded sharply.
The total value of all publicly traded currencies was $ 150 billion, down more than 16 percent from a high of about $ 180 billion reached on Saturday night.
